Dimmer support

Setup and troubleshooting for Dimmer.

Get connected

  1. Enable Bluetooth in Windows and stay within range of a powered Plejd node.
  2. Sign in with your existing Plejd account. Select your installation if asked.
  3. Wait briefly for the first light reports, then adjust the sliders.

Common questions

The tracks are empty at startup.

Dimmer is waiting for brightness reports. The temporary reading cue ends after eight seconds, even if a light stays silent. An empty track means the current level is not yet known; it does not mean the light is off.

My lights do not connect.

Check Bluetooth, move closer to a powered node and close the phone app so it can release its connection. Dimmer retries automatically with a pause between attempts. Reconnect in Settings tries immediately. A stopped connection component restarts automatically. If Plejd rejects the saved sign-in, enter your current password again. If Bluetooth is missing from Windows, check the adapter and its manufacturer-supplied driver.

A slider becomes faint.

The light is unavailable or the Bluetooth connection has stopped. Off lights keep their normal dark titles. A disconnected panel offers Reconnect.

The blur disappears when I use another app.

Windows Acrylic can use a solid fallback when inactive. This is expected behavior. Rounded corners and light controls continue to work.

Do I need a Gateway?

No. Dimmer uses Bluetooth from your PC. Internet is needed to sign in and load your installation; it is not remote control from outside Bluetooth range.

How do I request a refund?

Purchases and refund requests are handled through your Microsoft Store order history, under Microsoft's applicable terms.
